The RTM 76 is an affordable all mountain ski that’s designed to offer relatively easy skiing to beginner and intermediate skiers. Unlike its wider, burlier brothers in the RTM line, the 76 does not use any metal in its construction. This makes it much lighter, a little bit softer flexing, and takes away some torsional stiffness.
Having less torsional stiffness might sound like a negative, but for developing skiers it actually makes turn initiation much easier and it takes some relatively powerful skiing to push the ski past its limits in terms of edge grip on firm snow, something that beginner and intermediate skiers are less likely to do.
