Slightly longer than HP360, offering more space inside, new HP380 Hypalon made dinghy boats are ideally suited for use in Southern climate environment, where heat and humidity will affect PVC-made vessels after number of years. If you are cruising in a Florida, Caribbean, Central or South America, then Hypalon made boats are must as a reliable tender. It will provide longer life span, and doesn’t require as much extra care and protection as PVC made boats might. While PVC boats must be stored in a well ventilated shaded area when not in use, Hypalon boats are less demanding in terms of storage and protection.
New Saturn HP line of inflatable motor boats manufactured with premium Achilles Hypalon fabric imported from Japan. It features 1100 denier polyester core with Neoprene backing for superior air retention and durability. Achilles warranty on a fabric is 10 years. Warranty from Saturn is 5 years on seams and transom.
The Saturn HP380 Hypalon inflatable dinghy boats come standard with high-pressure drop stitch air deck floor that can be inflated up to 10psi. Once inflated, air deck floor will be as rigid as hard floor. Air floor made from PVC, not Hypalon. But, what makes that floor different from other Saturn boats, is that it is 100 mm, while all other floors are 80 mm. And, in addition, there is 2nd layer of PVC glued on top, to provide better protection against accidental cuts or punctures.

Q: Why Hypalon boats are so much more expensive than PVC boats?
A: Hypalon fabric more expensive than PVC fabric. It also require much more workmanship to make Hypalon boats, because each seam need to be manually sanded, and then properly prepared before gluing it all together. Also, Hypalon boats using completely different type of glue than regular PVC boats, which is also more expensive. All around it takes much more efforts to make boats from Hypalon than from PVC.
Q: Why Saturn HP boats comes with PVC air deck floor instead Hypalon?
A: Because Achilles Japan does not offer Hypalon drop stitch air deck floors to other boats manufacturers. However, air deck floors used in Saturn HP boats are heat welded at seams, extra thick, and has additional layer glued on top of floor for extra protection.
Q: Should I cover Hypalon boats when not in use?
A: As with any inflatable boats, it is highly recommended to cover inflatable boat with boat cover, in order to protect against dirt, grime and residue.
Q: Why there is yellowing appears along seams, and looks like boat not new?
A: Because Hypalon boats assembly completely different than PVC boats, and glue is different type, there are some normal yellowing might appears along seams and transom. Hypalon boat require each component to be manually sanded before gluing. Gluing process is also manual. Therefore some glue seeping outside of seam might occur leaving little bit of yellowing along seams. That is normal with Hyaplon type of boats, and does not mean boat is not new. All boats are brand new, and we ship them as we receive these from factory.
