Lube Mobile Questions

Hey how come everyone here with a negative experience has lots of specifics but all the positive ones are generic stuff from like Wayne in Batemans bay who just randomly decides to post a review about how good Lubemobile is? Surely you’re better off actually addressing how bad you are rather than faking a few 5 stars after every genuinely horrible one?

I for one had a positive experience and I suppose when that happens there aren’t many specific details to share. While I’m not naive in believing all positive reviews are always legit, I’m not sure what detail you would like those with positive experiences to go into? Happy to share if you have a question though!

how much charged and what was done and did they give you anitemised account as no good reviews state what they were charged prior to doing thejob WHATjob it was .What it finally cost

I booked in for fuel pump replacement, gave details of the car and everything, got the quote of $825,next day mechanic turn up and say we do not have the same fuel pump but have the other one cost about $1500 . And charge me $140 for just turning up to say that.
My concern is if you have the details, have the vin number. Why cant you tell the changes of price over the phone so we can make up our mind the same time. Why should you send the mechanic to say that..

hi sunny they ,should stick to their quote of $825.00 , they should not charge you that $140.00 ,looks to me office error , they should of known this ,and they should of asked the mechanics who do the jobs again sort it out with their office ,also get another quote from another mobile mechanic and if you have time ,look on line and buy the part/part with kits yourself and ask them to do labour only ,that’s your call ,I find them easy to get along with ,again talk to their office staff/manager/supervisor ,I have no issues with them ,I give them 10 out of 10 with efficiency , on time ,value for money, do not rip you off as a lot off competition out their ,reliable, neatness ,polite ,been around awhile ,I have used them for about on and off 12 years ,I hope this helps you sunny ,regards steven, tuesday 5/may/2020, 11.00 am ,morning

Some of these glowing reviews read like advertisements and just don;t ring true. When people get a good service they tend NOT to write reviews- the one son here just seem too damned false.

Hi Sam, you are right. It usually does not seem true but this one is. Same day service, 2 hours+ on the job with full explanations along the way. The mechanic Lube Mobile sent me -Nick- is a European car specialist and was able to answer all questions without hiding the potential costs and issues. I really liked the fact that I got a quote through their online chat but the final decision of what to include in the service was made by me with the mechanic after full inspection and a test drive. In this case, the review was totally deserved and I will call on Nick again, especially as we are planning a trip to the Kimberley mid-year.

No Sam genuine comments best service I have ever had

I’m not denying people have had good service from Lubemobile or ALL reviews are false. Just some sound too exalted!. I’ve used Lube Mobile 5 times and it’s been a bloody expensive exercise. The last time I was quote d$600 to replace some things and they wanted cash to go off a buy them and return the next day. I took my car to my local mechanic in Surry Hills who I know is always right (but expensive) and he said it was a totally wrong diagnosis and he fixed it foe under $400. The very first time I used Lubemobile they left a battery lead barely attached which caused major headaches with the car going dead at traffic lights etc. An honest electrical mechanic pointed it out for a n agreed turnout fee of $100. I’ve said previously- Lube Mobile DO NOT do roadworthy certificates themselves but they state they do. This is false advertising. They may inspect your car or take it to another garage but they DO NOT issue certificates themselves so you cannot eb sure the RTA will receive that certificate and a day’s delay by whatever third party Lubemobile used cost me a $550 fine when i thought the certificate had been sent to the RTA. Hence my complaint to Fair Trading. I would NEVER allow myself to be in the hands of a mechanic who has you over a barrel now when your car breaks down and you are stuck somewhere. Peace of mind with the NRMA so you can have your car towed at minimal cost to your mechanic of choice. I’d rather hire a car for a few days as I reckon it’s cheaper in the long run.

Also if I am proved wrong about LubeMobil I will happily apologize. I did it over Woolworth’s Insurance who I had real problems with but they came up trumps in the end in 2 accidents and I was very happy with their response and posted that. I ran my own businesses all my life and I know problems arise that are out of your control but it’s how you respond to your customers that counts.
## Also- I take this review board very seriously and I always take note of companies that respond to complaints. That impresses me. When I see a series of complaints without a response from the company involved I never go near them as if they don;t value their reputation why bother?.
### And I CAN be wrong as I blasted Fantastic Furniture over a bed ordered with missing parts but I was wrong as a pal helping in the assembly put them behind a curtain and forget about them. But Fantastic responded positively within 24 hours anyway.

Would you get your Kia Rio clutch replaced with them.

i wouldnt get anything done with LUBE MOBILE. i used them twice in history because i had no other choice, they make your car worse then before they arrived i believe, they fix or half fix one thing and wreck another thing or find another thing in the hope that u call them back and allow them to rip you off yet again. im sure its there only marketing strategy because mechanics are terrible service is worst ive seen, and marketing is plain corruption. so obvious for the dumb to see.

I called out Lube Mobile to check why I have a transmission oil leak ( a bad one) and they told me I need a new gear box. They will subcontract to a gear box specialist without any mark up and install a reconditioned gear box with new parts. All good except for the cost which is horrifying…..$4020. Is this normal? I just looked up Brookvale Spare Parts who are selling a used gear box for a Mazda 2 for $220. Am I being ripped off or is the labour making up the difference?

Sorry bud. You may have got the bad mechanic in their batch. They are little more expensie, they will have to work on this. From my experience, the work is professional and fairly priced. They do have to stop trying to find more work and concentrate on the job they have been asked to do.

Yes From the momment you call LUBE MOBILE you are getting RIPPED OFF, that phone call/booking just made your car worse and the start of many troubles for your car

Lubemobile offered to provide a quote to replace a timing chain on a Holden Calais…the quote returned with an hourly rate for labour, nothing else. Is this usual?

if you dealt with LUBE MOBILE definately unusual and double price also. they are CRIMINALS unusual CRIMINALS love to know all there criminal records im sure no one has checked that, maybe prisioners just released

I have a ml270 Mercedes can these guys repair engine oil leaks?

Dont go anywhere near them with a Merc. I had them service my 1998 CLK over Christmas because my Mechanic was away. After thy finished, the car could would not start. They took it to their service centre and days later told me the timing chain and electronic clutch would need to be replaced for $7,000. I then had my car towed to a Merc specialist who returned my car the next day in perfect working order. The problem was a clogged Manifold intake. Lube Mobile are only very basic mechanics.

I completely agree to this. Dont think the mechanics know much on Mercs. I just am going through a very bad experience. The mechanic I dealt with is just a cheat and a rip off. He tried to rip off money from me in all different ways. I have towed my car away from them unrepaired after being charged $2000 and the mechanic trying to throw the blame on the part supplier because I procured the same part from the same supplier which the mechanic was trying to charge me $900 more

im sure they efficiently couldnt change any cars oil especially EUROPEAN CARS i beg you dont take your european car to LUBE MOBILE unless you want it to seize within 6months-12months

What is the charge to service a Hyundai I30 for 90,000 service?… We live in Hillside 3037… It’s a 2009 model… Thanks Ann … 0422315629

I had no problems last year. The mechanic found something major was wrong with my car after i spent quite a bit of money going to several different mechanics.
He worked in 38c in summer and I am very very thankful for his professionalism and knowledge which is more than I can say for the two garages i took my car to.
So yes, anything major i think they are up to it.

i wouldnt, but thats from experience if u were my good friend i would beg you to stay away from LUBE MOBILE but by all means use them and come back here and cry and complain like me after the fact
