Keeping Skin Safe in the Sun With BullFrog Sunscreen – Review

Rate this post

I received product from BullFrog Sunscreen for my review. All opinions are my own.

Protecting our skin from the sun is very important. By now, we all know that the sun’s UV rays can be very harmful to our skin, and can lead to skin aging, wrinkles, and at the worst skin cancer. As someone who has relatives that have dealt with skin care, I know how extra important staying safe in the sun can be. Even though it’s still spring, sun protection is just as important now, as ever. BullFrog Sunscreen has a line of sunscreen that protects skin from the sun’s rays, and makes it easy! BullFrog Sunscreen products are designed to stay on your skin, in nearly every condition.

I received the BullFrog Marathon Mist Continuous Spray in SPF 50, and the Water Armor Sport Quick Gel in SPF 50.

Both products have broad spectrum UVA/UVB protection. They are oil-free, water resistant for up to 80 minutes, and go on clear. They definitely make protecting your skin easy!

I used both the BullFrog Sunscreen Marathon Mist and the Water Armor Sport Quick Gel quite a bit. I found that they gave great sun protection. I am very pale, and I burn super easily, so it’s easy for me to tell when a sunblock really works, and these definitely do!

The Marathon Mist is very easy to use. You just spray it on your skin, you don’t even have to rub it in, although I tend to do so anyways, just because it’s a habit. It’s oil free, but it does leave your skin a bit shiny for a little while afterward. However, it does not have the typical “sunblock” smell, which I know many people hate. It’s also really convenient to use, especially if you’re going to be out in the sun for a long time, and will need to re-apply.

The BullFrog Water Armor Sport Quick Gel was my favorite of the two, however. While you do have to rub it on, it’s in a gel form, and it rubs in very easily and quickly. Your skin is immediately dry afterward, and doesn’t look like you have sun block on at all! It too does not have the typical “sunblock” smell, and it also has a cool, refreshing feel, which will be really great for hot summer days. My only complaint would be that on days when my skin was extra dry, this sunscreen would sting my skin a little bit, so if you have consistently extra dry/sensitive skin, I wouldn’t suggest using this product.

Here are great sun protection tips that come from BullFrog themselves to help keep your skin protected:

  • Limit sun exposure, particularly between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. when the sun’s harmful UV rays are the strongest and most damaging to your skin
  • Use a water-resistant, broad-spectrum SPF sunscreen with a value of 30 or higher
  • Liberally apply sun protection 15 minutes before sun exposure
  • Reapply every hour as needed, particularly after swimming or perspiring
  • Your lips need protection, too—use an SPF 15 or higher lip balm

Keep these tips in mind especially as the days get warmer, and remember that sun protection is important all year around!

Overall, I really enjoyed my BullFrog Sunscreen. They even have kid’s sunblock, perfect for keeping kids nice and safe in the sun. Sun protection is extremely important, and when you have products like BullFrog Sunscreen there really is no reason to not stay protected in the sun!

  • Awesome review on this sunscreen and perfect timing!! This warm weather is coming up on us fast!

  • Thank you! The weather will eventually get warmer here in Montreal and sunscreen is something I’ll definitely need. I usually walk about 5 miles a day with my 2 little dogs. I hope this can be purchased in Canada. It sounds great!

  • Love BullFrog. We are in South Florida so we are sunscreen junkies. This is a great product!

  • Bullfrog was recommended to us by lifeguards and professional sailing captains. It goes the distance!

  • It is that time of year for sunblock. I like the fact that both provide protection and don’t have that sunblock smell.
