So, what about your boat, camping trailer, motorcycles, etc.? With your Subaru, you will not have to leave your favorite toy behind as most Subaru’s have a towing capability.

We have provided a brief breakdown of the maximum towing capacity for each new Subaru model.

Knowing your vehicle’s towing capacity is crucial before packing up and hitting the road. Weight exceeding the vehicle’s capacity can cause permanent damage to your Subaru and potentially hazardous to those around you. It is also important to note that certain models, such as the Impreza, Legacy, BRZ, WRX and WRX STI are not recommended for towing purposes.

The Subaru Ascent can tow up to a maximum capacity of 5,000 lbs.

The Ascent offers the most towing capacity of any Subaru vehicle ever, along with an available Class III trailer hitch, 277 lb-ft of torque and a wide selection of racking accessories so you can bring along all the gear you’ll need for all the places you’ll be able to go.

The Subaru Crosstrek can tow up to a maximum capacity of 1,500 lbs. The Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid can tow up to a maximum capacity of 1,000 lbs.

The Subaru Forester can tow up to a maximum capacity of 1,500 lbs.

The Subaru Outback can tow up to a maximum capacity of 3,500 lbs.
