Deep discounts from Fitbit for Veterans in November

Army Veteran Don Morrell was born with a serious, and possibly life-threatening heart condition. But for most of his life, he didn’t know it.

It wasn’t until 2021—after 7 years in the Army and another 25 years in law enforcement—when Morrell realized something wasn’t right. The ECG (electrocardiogram) feature on his Fitbit Charge 5 tracker indicated his heart was in a state of atrial fibrillation.

A subsequent doctor’s visit for tests revealed he had a heart defect since birth and a weakened blood vessel that could break without warning. The good news is that simple modifications and a low dose heart medication means Morrell’s prognosis for a long and healthy life is good.

“I want other Veterans to know that a health and wellness tool like this really does help,” he said.

Army Veteran Don Morrell credits his Fitbit with helping him catch an undetected heart problem. The fitness tracking device is available to Veterans at a discount during November.

On a mission to help everyone be healthier

Inspired by Morrell’s story and with deepest thanks for the service of all Veterans and active-duty military, this November, Fitbit is offering deep discounts on its latest lineup of devices.

A Fitbit device can help alert you to a heart condition like it did for Morrel. But it also can shine a light on emotional and mental health issues.

A Fitbit device can help you focus on physical activities that help you cope with stress, or help you set and manage goals around sleep, stress management, heart health and overall wellbeing. For example, your Fitbit Sleep Score can help you understand your short and long-term sleep patterns, while Stress Scores alert you to a change in your mental wellbeing. A Daily Readiness Score can help you know when to take it easy, and when to push hard.

Plus, insight and content from the Fitbit app helps you connect the dots between what you do and how you feel.
