Waiting at Cabelas in Green Bay for 48 min at the gun counter, it was not busy. Staff would walk by and not say a word. After 55 min I waved my hand and asked Paul if I could get some help, he ignored me. I asked if I could get some service, he said wait your turn. Helping more than one customer or acknowledging the other customers around would have been fine with me, but being ignored or not even acknowledged is horrible customer service. After I pickup my gun I will close my Cabela’s account and never shop at a Cabelas or Bass Pro ever again.

Deleted my entire online account for not logging in for 3 months. My entire purchase history, favorites i’ve been tracking for black friday/cyber monday… all of it GONE.
Customer Service answer? Either a “click/hangup” on the phone or “The agent has disconnected from this chat session.”. INSANE! Cancelled my cc with them.

I placed an order at the beginning of December. I realized after Xmas that it did not arrive. When I pulled up my order number I was informed it had been cancelled. I was never notified. I called customer support who informed me it was cancelled by the fraud department and I should have automatically received notification. I was also told this by the manager. When I called the fraud department they said the computer does not send cancellation notifications. Why would you ever cancel an order without notification? I was told it was because my IP address was from Germany. Nothing else on my order stated Germany. I use a VPN. This is common practice these days. If your IT department does not understand this then they should be fired. Even this should not keep you from sending an email notification. I will never order from your company again and will inform everyone I know not to as well.

I purchased a gun from Cabela’s online and went to pick it up I have absolutely no criminal record of any sort. The last gun I purchased was a 5-minute background check by phone. Unfortunately at Cabela’s they have their own system of doing it and I did not read one of the questions right so now they own the gun I was going to pick up which I purchased online. Their system said I am not able to pick it up because I answered a question wrong. Thank you Cabela’s for wasting 3 hours of my day about $15 in gas. I promise you I will never use any of your retail stores again. Absolutely ridiculous!

Ordered a Kimber. Paid online
2 weeks later, went in to find out that the product was at the store, but not put into their system.
I did the background check and was put in the que.
2weeks later got an email that my order was canceled. Refund processed.
Went in to repay for the product and found out that my item is on a hard hold from corporate. Even if my BC was approved, I couldn’t purchase it.
It’s been 1.5 months.

Called within 2 seconds of placing order because their website and confirmation email listed the wrong address and phone number. Said nothing they could do and to call them back after get an email the product had been shipped to wrong address then they would contact FedEx about re-routing. Won’t refund money — not unless item is shipped back to them — which can’t do since sent to wrong address. Crook!

Do not order online! Go to store if available! Or better still just avoid!

For the past two years, I have been trying to get assistance with this safe—IT IS UNRELIABLE. The reliability of this safe opening is not a guarantee. I have spoken to many at Cabela’s Customer Service and each time, I have been walked through the process of getting the safe to remember my finger print. And, it was not until today that I was told by both Stacy and Carol at Heritage Safe that it only takes a picture of your finger print so you would need to store several finger prints in various positions. For the life of me, I cannot believe no one was notified of this issue, this is a real security problem. For the past week AGAIN, I called Cabela’s Customer Service at *******444 and was told by a gentleman that he would have someone from Product Support to call me, well, that was a week ago. Called today and reached Denise who said she could not find a record of my calls but she would stay on the phone until someone from Product Support was on the line. Patricia from Product Support answered and after I explained the problem, she admitted that there was a problem with this safe and suggested that I contact Heritage Safe at *******823. I spoke to Stacy at Heritage Safe and she walked me through the process several times to no avail. Her attempt was to have me put my finger print on the safe in various positions. PLEASE HELP ME TO UNDERSTAND WHY I WOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH THIS IN A LIFE AND DEATH SITUATION? For the life of me, I am not sure why I am the only one realizing that in an emergency, you don’t want a gun safe to not open or have the gun safe alarm to start blazing!
Now that this is in writing, It has now become my goal to assure that anyone who reads this will know that this safe is not reliable and that they would be putting their life in jeopardy to continue using it as a gun safe. This is the Cabela’s Biometric Personal (Quick Access Model) Safe. You have been warned!

I bought a shotgun from Cabelas, the original box was showing damage and had no packing materials in it, so the put it in a larger box and ship it to me. When I opened it J found it damaged. After calling customer service they said it was my fault for taking delivery and I should have taken this shotgun out in the post office to inspect it now I have to pay for shipping across Canada to have it repaired their comment was yep

Heading to Florida for vacation and the opportunity to hunt the predatory, over-populated pythons. Looking for.38 Special Snake shot shells, checked on line and saw that Cabela’s has them in stock. The day before we are heading out I received an advertisement saying “order before 1pm and pick-up the order the same day. I thought, why play around, so I ordered 2 boxes on-line around 11:30. We headed out to the Hamburg PA store around 4pm, figuring that if they haven’t pulled them yet, we can just go get them for ourselves and cancel the order. When we arrived, we went to the Service Counter to see if the pickup order was ready. It was not and the woman at the counter stated that “it can take a couple of days” until I told her about the “same day pickup” ad that I had received. I said I would go back and get them myself and she indicted that “there are 16 in stock”. Then, you guessed it! When I went to look for them and found 9mm only, I asked one of the floor employees who clearly knew that there were no.38 special snake loads. When we returned to the Service Counter to express our frustration, the woman indicated that “we wouldn’t be charged for them”. Really? How generous! I would usually suggest that you call first, but chances are that you will get the same clueless individual who screwed-up the inventory in the first place.

I exchanged a dog harness the receipt was incorrect.the new harness was 10 dollars cheaper the customer service person told me since the receipt was incorrect I could Not receive the 10. Dollar difference. I think that was uncalled for do not think I will be back.

I buy an almost $400 grill and the ad read purchase before 2pm and we will assemble the grill for you! Jokes on me when I backed up to pick up my grill in a box! I reached out to the store manager and got a response from someone other than who didn’t give two craps about my party plans for that day!
Should’ve stuck with their competitors!

We are a relatively small dragon boat club in the PNW (Seattle Flying Dragon Boat Club) and recently reached out to Cabela’s to help replenish and increase our PFD’s (life jackets). This would enable more paddlers to experience a unique on-the-water sport. I can’t say enough about working with the General Manager of their Tulalip store. Cabela’s has gone above and beyond to make paddling more accessible to anyone wanting to try dragon boat paddling.
I look forward to a continued partnership with a company willing to share with their community.

I had a few giftcards loaded onto their online portal after they refunded my purchase which they could not fulfill. When I went to long back in after a while of not shopping on the site, I could not log in, IT told me they had deleted my account due to inactivity (Less than a year) and the money I had on the account could not be recovered. Bull$#*!. Feels a lot like theft, even if it was just $50. At least IT was polite.

Dont trust them with money, they will steal from you.

Ordered a gun they said shipped on day I paid and ordered but never received notification it was in after 2 weeks. Contact through online messaging and they tell me it must have been lost in transit and it’s out of stock now and would take 7 days for refund. So they hold my money for 21 days and never had any intention of shipping it to store. Lost in transit lol Do the authority’s know you’re losing guns in transit. Typical scam!

This company will take your money for an order but you will never recieve the order. When you try to call and wait for customer sevice it is a real joke

Order placed 12/15/2020. Three items ordered for elders Christmas present. Two items shipped and arrived 12/19. Third item was to be delivered 12/27 as per tracking number. On January 12 I received an email saying third item has been cancelled. Called Cabellas/Bass Pro, no explanation as to why the order was not delivered. Elderly Father still waiting for his Christmas present from his son. Makes his son (me) look very poor. In turn this reflects as a poor rating on Cabelas.

After taking 2+ weeks to ship my order, they shipped it and then cancelled and refunded me for no reason. I spoke to multiple people and none of them knew why the order was cancelled, they also could not place another order from me. How in the world is this place in business? Theres something fishy going on here for sure

I ordered 3 game cams on February 2, received a happy shipment confirmation from Cabela’s and nothing has arrived as of March 2. Their customer service department insists it is shipped yet FEDEX has NOT received the items yet. A label has been created only. I am beyond disappointed. Cabela’s has been a go to source of gear for 20 years. I do not recommend this company to anyone. Since the merger with Bass Pro quality appears to have disappeared.

I bought a cabellas brand pine ridge scope with a lifetime warranty that has become cloudy. I’ve spent 2 days of my life trying to get them to step up and replace it. I’ve given up after all the hoops they’ve asked me to. Cancelled my cabellas credit card and given up any thought of darkening their doorstep again! What happened to Cabellas? I used to get excited about going there! Never again

Cabellas is extremely difficult to get to honor warranty on their own products . They asked me to ship it back at my own expense with no promise of replacement. It’s a discontinued piece of junk that they would have to replace with a similar price scope . Way too much effort on my part to even get that far with it . I’ve thrown it out and purchased another scope elsewhere

I tried to buy some things from this company so AFTER I already submitted my payment they said things were out of stock so I had to go back twice to delete them and each time I did they put a 1 dollar hold on my account which the card company took as fraud so canceled my card… right before Christmas! Nothing said out of stock while I was adding them to cart. I will never buy from Cabela’s again. Piece of $#*! company! Totally screwed me for Christmas.

I placed an online order for a handgun available for Cabela’s “Ship to Store” option which clearly states across their website in multiple locations that it is typically “Delivered in 2-3 Business Days”. After 4 business days of the order indicating “In-Process” I spoke with a very informative customer service representative. She stated that seldom, if ever, will the order arrive in 2-3 days. The only exception being if it’s shipped via FedEx which is almost never done. The most common shipping method is via the regular inventory truck and that will be a minimum of 10 business days with an additional 2 days to unload and place into inventory. This is a flat out lie being perpetrated on the customer via Cabela’s online ordering policies published on their website as well as in-store employees in the gun department. Caveat emptor when it comes to purchasing from Cabela’s/Bass Pro Shop. I certainly won’t be doing business with them again over this incident.

Tip for consumers:
Do not expect your Ship-to-Store order to arrive in 2-3 days as stated on Cabela’s website. The minimum delivery time will be 12 days.

Stopped at the service desk to return a item. SUE waited on me in a professional manner. Store was out of stock so SUE said she could order it (pair of pants) and send it to my home. She was very nice and explained all that would happen. That is way I shop BPS/Cabelas for ALL my sporting needs. Keep up the good work —I’ll be back.

Purchase a life time warranty spinning rod from Cabelas and the tip broke. Went into store was told that they did not honor the warranty and I had to reach out to customer service online. I live chatted and was told that their private label rods have a one year warranty and what the warranty was at time off purchase did not matter. Will not shop at Cabelas in future no customer service
