If you take the screw of make sure you mark the hole, because if you don’t put it back the same way it will work in reverse.

At first, we were very frustrated with this auger as it was only able to drill about 12 holes through 15 inches of ice. Not only that, it struggled at about every 2 inches of ice to cut and would stop, also, it did not break through the last bit of ice. Slamming it through was the only way to finish the hole. So, we contacted Superhandy customer service and they took amazing care of us! When I say amazing, that is an understatement. Customer service seems to be a dying thing these days, but not with Superhandy. They went above and beyond our expectations and I would not hesitate for a second in the future to purchase any product from them. After they helped us work through the issues, the auger works flawlessly. Drilled about 20 holes yesterday at 15 inches, no problem and still had plenty of battery left. Thank you Superhandy and Landworks! Great auger for the money and customer service second time none.

This auger work really well 4 different trips on the ice several holes drilled, and 0 degrees days, and still have battery life left l have the 4 AH battery but goes and goes not sure yet when l will charge. things that could be better would be blade cover is not a good fit and will come off easily on its own and if you ding a blade up there is no info for replacements. But is as good or better than ION

I bought this auger because I didn’t want to mess with starting a gas auger. Well it works most of the time if the battery doesn’t get cold. So I have to keep it tucked in my jacket, helps some or I guess you could by hand warmers for the battery. Even when it does work it won’t punch through once it hits water. Then today one of the blades fell off. I haven’t had this thing a month, drilled maybe 25 holes.

Have only used it once but it worked as advertised for ice fishing. Drilled 8 holes and the battery showed no signs of loosing power. Much lighter to haul onto the ice than a gas powered auger.

Great Ice Auger
Reviewed in Canada on March 22, 2021
I bought this auger about a month ago and since I used it 4-5 times. Way more exciting than a hand auger and better than any gas auger. I can drill in the shack and not worry about fume and it’s so quiet. I can reopen holes with no problem. If it wasn’t for the weight I would give it 5 stars. It look solid built and will last for ever, maybe that’s why it is a little heavy (22 lbs). I contacted customer service for a problem I had and the service they gave me was beyond expectation. No doubt worth the money.

Works well

Very light, strong, great construction, but, while it’s spinning.. if you stop for a moment and restart, it beeps as it seems like there is too much resistance to start up even with a full charge. So you either do not stop while drilling.. or if you stop then you have to start redrilling while suspending the auger tip, otherwise I love the blue color and it has done me well this winter.

It nice and light , lots of power, very nice auger.
My only issue is in the cold -10°c or colder, the battery stops and starts, will not keep running.
You have to keep the battery warmer. I keep it on me or in the warmer shack.

Works perfect

The product was exactly as described. Obviously you need to use it properly with mechanical common sense. That probably explains the negative comments a few have submitted. I’ve only had it out a few times, very successfully, I might add. It seems well made and should last. It probably would be better to have two batteries, and I will try to buy a second one. If the battery fails, you have nothing but an anchor. If the battery hold up, it is a perfect combo.
