Amazing product for a fraction of the price of Trackman
Reviewed in Canada on March 6, 2021
The product is as advertised – The Rapsodo provides features and accuracy for a fraction of the price of a Trackman is impressive. I was quite presently surprised at how the Rapsodo indoor (net feature) was able to be accurate as it was (within 2 MPH of ball speed) of club speeds of 120 MPH or more. As shown on the above photo – this is from The Rapsodo video Library which I’m hitting into a Trackman simulator to Compare to Trackman numbers Rapsodo was within 2 MPH of ball speed and one MPH of club speed. In regards to Irons they were pretty much bang on, my 2 Iron carry and ball speed was within 1 MPH and 3 yards of trackman carry for each. ~ For an indoor unit to be that close is very impressive! I’m quite anxious for the summer season to start up here in Canada to bring this device with me and be able to use the shot tracer that’s available outside and the other cool features available in video libraryDefinitely a product that passes with flying colours!!!!!

I had been looking into getting a portable launch monitor for a while. I read good things about Rapsodo but sadly my experience was anything but good. I was very excited to try it, but was quickly disappointed.
I am an avid golfer. I am a member of a golf club and play 3 to 5 times a week. I took the Rapsodo to the range twice and after the second attempt to get it to work have decided that it is too expensive for the results it delivers. I go to the range to practise not to futz with trying to get tech to work. I am returning it.
Here are my issues with the product.
1). It is difficult to setup. You have to be 6 to 8 feet from the device with your iPhone sitting on top in the cradle in the cradle. They put text on the screen that you cannot read from that distance in a very small light grey font. There is also a red alignment line that is also difficult to see from that distance not to mention in the sun.
2). It only captures <25% of the shots. I go to the range for an hour and hit 60+ balls. While I am on the range I get Green lights, followed by blue lights (so it is doing something) But when I review the data, I see it has only captured 11 shots. I was on the range and a friend of mine was interested in what it was. He asked if he could try.
He hit half a dozen balls from the same spot as me and it did not capture even one. This may all be because (item #1) it is hard to setup.
3). The ergonomics of the design is poor (in addition to having too small of text on the iPhone screen to read from 6 feet away). They put the ON/OFF button right in the wrong place. Every time you go to move the unit you turn it off or on because of where the button is. So after you spend the time setting up the unit only to find that the unit is OFF because when you placed it you accidentally turned it OFF.
4). The so called “smart club recognition” does not work. I had to manually enter the club I was using.
All in all, I would not recommend buy this to anyone.

Was hesitant to purchase, read alot of mixed reviews. I think it truly comes down to user experience once you buy.
Setup was super easy, and fast to get started! Auto calibration and charge it up, you are good to go.
I boight this device to use in my garage into a net. I measured out my setup meticulously just how they wanted, had it very well lit, and still it didnt capture 50% of my shots. For the ones it did capture, the data was accurate, and displayed very clearly and easy to understand. The app is fantastic for going back and understanding what happened on each shot, and is great if you are into the analysis of numbers.
I didn’t have the time to fiddle around with it after every non recorded shot, making it not worth it for me. Probably works much better outside though

The Rapsodo MLM is giving me great feedback during my practice sessions. I can instantly get info on each shot as well as a video review of the shot and then look it all over later again today when I want. I can play back the video at slow motion and see exactly where my swing needs work. This kind of feedback is invaluable.

It’s exactly what was advertised.
I love how accurate it is
The first few times I used it, I was able to correct a long time error. I had no idea I was an over the top hitter until I seen it in video and numbers. Is worth every penny.

Not to happy with the accuracy of this launch monitor. For shorter shots it works good but once you get to higher ball speeds and distances it’s not the most accurate. I was seeing the shots hit the back fence at my local range with my driver and it would countless time’s call it 220, 230 carry when in actuality it is 250 yards. Ball speed is low by about 6-8mph Id say as well.

The launch monitor gives pretty accurate club and ball speed information indoors. Makes my practice sessions into a net a lot more fun than it used to be. Would recommend for anyone planning to set up an indoor range.

I’ve previously owned the Voice Caddie SC200 and SC300 – returning the SC200 once I knew the newer and better version was being released. The SC200 was small and easy to carry and had a some basic stats and a scoring game included. When i then saw the SC300, I thought this would be much better and with the ability to link it to an App, it had a lot more potential to allow you to record and review.
Initial thoughts of the SC300 were good, but there were no longer any scoring games included, so I only ended up using just the one Practice mode. Although this was ok, the whole use of the SC300 was a bit boring. I contacted their support but they seemed uninterested in any suggestions for changes.
Having then owned the SC300 for just over a year, I caught sight of the MLM purely by accident and immediately liked the look of the functionality. Within a week, I had sold my SC300 and had the MLM.
With the various lockdowns, I’ve only used the MLM twice. On both occasions, it picked up all bar one or two shots. The distances appear to be accurate too and in line with what i used to have with the SC300.
There’s an excellent scoring mode (single and multiplayer) included where you can pick a target and get a score based on how close you are. However, the single player doesn’t currently score you, which seems pointless in a ‘game mode’.
I’ve contacted their Customer Support a few times over the last few weeks and they do seem genuine and interested in the feedback from customers.
So my rating on 4 stars is due to a few small issues (it would be 4.5 out of 5)
* Improve the single player game mode and let you have scores to beat
* allow the current location to be saved whilst you are still at site. Currently, if you change between modes, you need to keep setting up the GPS and direction when changing. A ‘use last location setting’ function would resolve.
* Additional modes/games to be added. LIke a Combine Test or a random distance generated game.
The app has had a number of updates since I bought this in December so it suggests there are always improvements coming. Hopefully some of these will be addressed and I could happily give this 5 out of 5.

Great product so far!
Been looking for a launch monitor for a while and kept comparing them online, in the end went for this one as it seemed to have the most features, recording your swing and shot tracing being the main one for me.
It also helps you work out your normal distances and shot pattern which will help a lot when playing on the golf course.
The MLM picks up most swings and is relatively easy to set up.
It has definitely made going to the range more engaging and feels like an improvement to regular practice.
Haven’t tried it in net mode yet but they release new updates regularly so I’m sure it will be fine for that.

The product is simple to use, despite the app not being as user friendly as it could be. However if you are a mid to high handicap golfer like myself you will find that your high-spin shots are sometimes not picked up and the times they are, they numbers seem to have been pulled out of thin air. For good strokes the data is more accurate I found when testing it against a GC-Quad within about 10% of actual values. Distance and ball speed being the most accurate and swing speed being the least accurate

Lots of great features. This device does provide instant feedback and you do get clear traceable understanding of your golf shots.
Shot tracer and video feedback is great and the data following a practice session very valuable especially in terms of club gapping. Be able to see your shot library and related data after a practice session is excellent.
It will get about 95% of your shots from a basket of 100 balls.
My only gripe would be on occasions it does short change you on the yardage of long shots. Saying that, I would recommend this device as a great training aid and overall very good launch monitor for the price.

Loving this launch monitor. It’s easy to set up and use.
Recording a video of every swing with ball tracer is such a great feature to have alongside all of the stats.
Great product if you’re looking to improve your game.
Just be sure to set the product up properly. I had an issue recording my driver shots. But this was my fault as I set the launch monitor up at the back of the driving range which was more then the recommended 6ft away from the ball.
